Trenda Gordon is lifelong musician.
She started playing piano at the age of three, and studied fiddle
through a program sponsored by the National Endowment For The Arts.
Trenda currently lives in the
north central Florida area. She teaches workshops, does private studio
teaching, and enjoys judging various fiddle contests around the state. |

 Through
the years, I have been privileged to visit many bluegrass festivals, music
camps, campgrounds and other places where musicians and want-to-be musicians
gather. Several years ago
I met a gentleman at one of these events who asked me if I would help him
to learn to play the "Tennessee Waltz". He told me he had been taking formal
lessons for five years. Five years and he couldn't play this simple song!
I couldn't believe it! This was when I realized that I needed to write
my own fiddle instructional method. I know that many people don't have
time for formal weekly lessons, so my book and CD ROM are designed for
homestudy use. I have created a method that can
be used by anyone!
This method is easy to read and understand.
Included in the book and interactive CD ROM are instructions for buying
and caring for the fiddle; instructions for putting frets on the fiddle,
so you can see where your fingers should go; easy bowing and fingering
exercises which will increase smoothness and speed, and thirty-five fiddle
tunes selected for their playability.
Each new new tune you learn will bring you closer to your goal of
playing independently of the printed page.
